The Nines gets its name from the way it expects you to dress when you visit…to the nines. Don’t let that discourage you from making a reservation or stopping by to visit this lively bar. Just be aware that formal dinner attire is required.

The cocktail menu at The Nines contains some old time classics like the Cosmopolitan and Manhattan in addition to some newer fan favorites like the Paloma and Paper Plane. The dinner menu at The Nines is simple yet elegant. With primarily seafood and vegetable dominant options, The Nines is great for anyone looking to eat on the lighter side as they enjoy a nice cocktail and live music.

The bar at The Nines is serving 7 days a week from 5pm-2am.

The Nines is a newer restaurant on the scene (opening in early 2022) so it is understandable that it only has 55 reviews on Google. On average those reviews rated The Nines a 4.5 out of 5 stars. Not too bad for a restaurant that hasn’t even had its first anniversary yet…Pricing is $$$$ (very expensive). This rating is what would be expected from an establishment that doesn’t list the prices on the menu. Don’t be surprised when you get your bill.

Don’t let the expensive pricing scare you away just yet…one of the most mentioned things about The Nines is the complimentary popcorn, olives and chips given to patrons at the bar. Although the free popcorn is not what is bringing people there nor keeping them coming back…The Nines is drawing a steady crowd that wants a lively and intimate space to drink and dine.

Located in ACME on Great Jones Street between Lafayette and Bowery, The Nines is the place you want to go when you are seeking a more formal dining experience similar to what you would get in ‘old New York’.
