DeuxMoi Made Me Do It…a restaurant guide for millennials

Carbone Miami

Great Gatsby Era Italian Restaurant with Old School New York City Vibes…in South Beach Miami

Carbone is at the heart of the popular #deuxmoimademedoit hashtag…because it is frequently mentioned as a celebrity hotspot. Once you visit and experience Carbone for yourself you will understand why. I was lucky enough to snag a reservation for Carbone Miami in mid-January when I was in Miami…but I have not been so lucky for the one in NYC. It may be a good thing that it is not so easy to get a reservation to Carbone NYC otherwise I would probably be there every weekend. For now I will just look at all of the pictures I took and write extensively on why everyone should go to Carbone at least once in their life…or once a month!

Every detail in Carbone Miami has been thoughtfully curated. The interior design, artwork, service, music, food…everything is just remarkable. As soon as you walk in it feels like you are walking into another world as the ambiance sets the mood for what is to come from the Carbone experience. I say experience because dining at Carbone is as next level as you can get for someone like me. The green leather booths, burgundy velvet dining seats, oversized flower pots, unique artwork, golden oldie hits playing in the background, table set up and table service…all of it gives you this feeling of being special.

Speaking of the table set up and table service…the plates and dishes look antique and vintage. The rooster bread plates remind me of my older Italian aunt and the gold platted dessert dishes reminded me of Louis XIV…and the service made me feel like Louis XIV.

There are several small bites that are complimentary of Carbone as well as the choice between bottled flat or sparkling water. First came out the pickled cauliflower and salami…then was the bread assortment that I needed self-control to stop eating. With the bread assortment comes the option for parmigiano cheese to be freshly cut for you table side. With your coffee they also serve complimentary Italian layer cookies that hit different when you are sitting in a leather booth with Frank Sinatra playing in the background.

Carbone Miami is open 7 days a week for dinner only. They open promptly at 5:30p. If you are early for your reservation than go grab a quick drink down the street at Joe’s because doors do not open until 5:30p. Reservations are hard to come by at Carbone Miami but if you set a notification on the Resy app and act fast you should probably be able get a reservation with advanced planning…but not too much advanced planning because you cannot reserve more than 30 days prior to the anticipated reservation date.

Carbone Miami has over 600 reviews on Google since opening in 2020 and have maintained a 4.1 star rating. Pricing is $$$$ (very expensive) but worth every dollar. On top of paying for high quality and flavorful food you are also paying for an experience.

The menu is classic Italian with antipasti (appetizers), zuppa e insalata (soup and salad), macaroni (pasta), pesce (fish), carni (meat), and sides. The most highly rated dishes are the spicy rigatoni, veal parmigiano, lobster ravioli, baked clams, and caesar salad. The cocktails and desserts also deserve honorable mention.
