Isla & Co. is described on their website as bringing “Australian culture and vibes to America through food, drink, and shared experiences.”  With six current locations throughout the United States and two on the way, Isla & Co. brings fresh and quality ingredients to all of its restaurants.  Two of the six restaurants are located in New York City, one in Midtown and one in Brooklyn.  Other locations currently open include Fairfield (Connecticut), Dallas (Texas), Atlanta (Georgia), and West Palm Beach (Florida)…South Beach Miami (Florida) and another Atlanta (Georgia) location are in the works.  Regardless of where you chose to visit, the atmosphere of Isla & Co. is consistently pure and fresh, as is the food and drink.

Midtown South Isla & Co. The Midtown South location is on 38th Street between 5th & 6th, on the first floor of the Hotel Hendricks.  It is 2 blocks South of Bryant Park and 4 blocks North of the Empire State Building.  It is easily accessible by public transportation, whether that be subway, bus, train, or ferry.  The Midtown Isla & Co. location has 84 Google reviews, averaging 4.5 stars.  Many of the reviews highlight the convenient location within Hotel Hendricks.  Others highly rate the atmosphere, dining experience, drinks and cocktails, brunch menu, and octopus and oysters.  

The Midtown Isla & Co. is open 7 days a week from 8am-10pm, making it a great place to start your day with coffee and brunch as well as end your day with a nightcap. 

Williamsburg Isla & Co.

The Brooklyn location is on North 12th between Berry and Wyth, between the McCarren Park Tennis Courts and Kent Park.  The Brooklyn Bowl is directly across the street on North 12th Street.  It is easily accessible by ferry from Manhattan if arriving at the North Williamsburg/ North 5th Street Pier.  The Williamsburg Isla & Co. location has 107 Google reviews, averaging 4.4 stars.  Many of the reviews highly rate the brunch menu.  Others highly rate the cocktails (specifically the espresso martini), spicy rigatoni, oysters and octopus, fish and chips, and kangaroo.  

The Williamsburg Isla & Co. has different hours than in Midtown.  Monday hours are 9am-5pm, with the kitchen closing at 4pm.  Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday hours are 9am-10pm, with the kitchen closing at 9pm.  Friday and Saturday hours are 9am-11pm, with the kitchen closing at 10pm.  Sunday hours are 9am-10pm, with the kitchen closing at 8:30pm.

The menus at all Isla & Co. locations are the same.  There is an all day menu, a brunch menu (served until 3pm), a mains menu (served starting at 5pm), a sharing menu, and a dessert menu.  The brunch menu features avocado toast, mushroom toast, egg scramble, breakfast sandwiches, french toast, and eggs benedict.  The all day menu includes salads, a quinoa and vegetable bowl, burger, fish and chips, chicken sandwich, and the spicy shrimp rigatoni with vodka.  The main menu includes octopus, fresh fish, farro cakes, chicken parm, and lamb.  The sharing menu includes kangaroo skewers, oysters, french fries, brussel sprouts, halloumi, and spicy chicken wings.  The dessert menu features sticky date pudding and affogato.
