Dirty Dancing: The Musical is hitting the road with a brand-new North American tour, bringing Baby, Johnny, Kellerman’s and enough iconic dance moves to make audiences everywhere suddenly reconsider their living-room choreography.

Based on the beloved 1987 film written by original screenwriter Eleanor Bergstein, the new stage production brings the summer romance of Frances “Baby” Houseman and Johnny Castle to life with live music, dancing and the songs audiences already know by heart. Dirty Dancing Tour

The tour launched in Saint Paul, Minnesota, in August and is continuing across North America. Upcoming stops include Detroit, Fayetteville, West Palm Beach, Charlotte, Greenville, Boston and Toronto, with the Toronto engagement running from November 24 through January 3, 2027. Dirty Dancing Tour

Leading the cast are Annalese Starzec as Baby and Blake Zelesnikar as Johnny, with Olivia Cece playing Penny. The production is directed by Lonny Price, who has a particularly fun connection to the original movie: he played Neil Kellerman in the 1987 film. Choreography comes from Darrell Grand Moultrie. And there’s an even bigger destination on the horizon.

Following its North American tour, Dirty Dancing: The Musical is heading to Broadway in February 2027, opening at the Lena Horne Theatre for a limited engagement celebrating the movie’s 40th anniversary. People.com

Expect the original songs, the forbidden romance, the electrifying dancing and, naturally, that lift.

The only question is whether audiences will behave themselves in their seats.

Spoiler alert: probably not.

Because when Johnny says nobody puts Baby in a corner, apparently that also applies to Broadway.
