Gstaad is already a magnet for billionaires, discreet A-listers and travelers who consider a private chalet a perfectly reasonable winter accessory. Now, the Swiss Alpine playground is getting a dose of Parisian glamour: Fouquet’s Gstaad is set to open on December 4, 2026, bringing the luxury hotel brand’s signature French art de vivre to the mountains.

The new property marks the sixth address in the Fouquet’s collection, which includes Paris, New York, Courchevel, Saint-Barthélemy and Mykonos. The brand is part of Barrière Collection, which is clearly not content to leave luxury in just one time zone.

A Swiss Chalet With Serious Star Power

Fouquet’s Gstaad is designed for guests who prefer their Alpine escapes intimate, polished and decidedly private. The property will feature 11 suites and six apartments, with 33 rooms in total, plus a sprawling private chalet measuring 1,500 square meters. In other words, there should be room for the whole family — and perhaps a few people from the family office.

Wellness is also getting the deluxe treatment. The hotel’s spa spans more than 800 square meters and includes an indoor swimming pool, sauna, hammam, indoor and outdoor Jacuzzis, treatment rooms, a fitness area and a yoga studio. After a day on the slopes, the hardest decision may be choosing between a massage and another hour in the hot tub.

Zuma Is Bringing Tokyo to the Alps

Adding a little international dining drama, the hotel will host a pop-up from Zuma, the contemporary Japanese restaurant brand known for sushi, sashimi, robata specialties and premium wagyu. An open kitchen and heated outdoor terrace are set to give Gstaad’s après-ski scene a fresh new address.

The arrival of Fouquet’s Gstaad reflects the brand’s growing ambitions — and Gstaad’s enduring appeal to travelers who want luxury without the noise.

Come December, the question won’t just be where to ski. It’ll be where to check in, unwind and book that Zuma table.
