Keith McNally has spent decades turning New York restaurants into cultural landmarks, but his next act may be happening somewhere outside of the restaurant.
The famously outspoken restaurateur, behind iconic spots including Balthazar, Pastis and Minetta Tavern, is now turning his attention to the theater.

McNally is writing a stage play, proving that his appetite for drama extends well beyond the dining room.
Known for his sharp observations, colorful characters and even sharper opinions, he certainly has plenty of material to work with. If his restaurants are any indication, expect the play to serve up plenty of wit, attitude and unforgettable characters.
