Forget checking into a hotel. This fall, you can check into Bloomingdale’s—and you don’t even need a reservation.

Hotel Bloomingdale’s has arrived at the iconic 59th Street flagship, transforming the department store’s famous Carousel into an immersive hotel-inspired experience. Running September 10 through October 19, the pop-up is designed to make shopping feel less like running errands and more like taking a very expensive vacation without actually leaving Manhattan.

Created in partnership with The Ritz-Carlton, Hotel Bloomingdale’s brings the world of luxury travel to the Upper East Side. The 1,600-square-foot experience features a hotel-style check-in desk, luggage racks, a gift shop and even an elevator transformed into a fitting room.

And naturally, there is a bar.

The hotel’s Studio 59 takeover is inspired by a Ritz-Carlton lobby bar, serving destination-inspired cocktails influenced by properties including the Ritz-Carlton Reserve and Yacht Collection. Meanwhile, the Kilian Bar on Level 1 is serving specialty cocktails alongside fragrance consultations and custom bottle engraving.

There’s also a spa component, because apparently shopping now requires recovery time. La Prairie Spa Residence is offering an exclusive facial experience, while a Nespresso coffee bar provides the caffeine necessary to continue browsing.

The Hotel Bloomingdale’s experience also includes exclusive products and collaborations, including a Ritz-Carlton x Late Checkout collection, Frette bedding and robes, travel accessories, beauty products and hotel-inspired souvenirs.

And if you want to make the whole thing feel even more like a vacation, Hotel Bloomingdale’s is hosting a special party on September 19 from 1 to 6 p.m., featuring hotel-inspired sips, treat carts, personalization, a DJ and a photo booth.

So, no passport required.

Just walk into Bloomingdale’s, head to the Carousel and check in for a stay where the minibar is technically the beauty department.
