Forget bedtime. Insomnia Cookies is giving away free cookies on September 15, and the only thing standing between you and a warm, gooey cookie is your ability to put on pajamas and leave the house.
The annual Insomnia Cookies PJ Party returns Tuesday, September 15, 2026, giving cookie lovers across the U.S. and Canada a very sweet reason to embrace their sleepwear in public. From 8 p.m. until close, anyone who walks into an Insomnia Cookies bakery wearing pajamas can receive one free Classic cookie. No purchase is necessary, and you don’t need to be an Insomnia Rewards member.
So, how do you get the free Insomnia Cookies cookie? It’s almost suspiciously easy: Put on your pajamas, head to your nearest participating Insomnia Cookies location on September 15 between 8 p.m. and closing, and claim your free Classic cookie. Limited-time and Deluxe cookies aren’t included in the giveaway.
And because apparently one free cookie wasn’t enough, Insomnia is adding more deals to the PJ Party 2026 celebration. Customers can get 25% off ice cream cups and pints all day September 15, while Insomnia Rewards members can earn double points. Select campus locations will also have giveaways, merchandise and other activities while supplies last.
There’s even a chance to turn your pajama-clad cookie run into a much bigger prize. College students can enter Insomnia’s Dream Dorm Giveaway by attending the PJ Party, grabbing their free cookie and posting a photo or video on Instagram or TikTok using #InsomniaPJParty and tagging @insomniacookies.
In other words, September 15 is officially the night to wear pajamas, eat cookies and pretend you’re being responsible about your bedtime.
