Forget booking a flight to Munich. In 2026, you can get the full Oktoberfest experience in NYC without leaving Brooklyn—and you get a pretty spectacular skyline as a bonus.
The standout destination? Zum Schneider’s Oktoberfest at Franklin Point in Greenpoint, where the East River becomes the backdrop for nearly two weeks of Bavarian beer, giant pretzels, live music and enough lederhosen to make Williamsburg briefly forget it is Williamsburg.
Running September 25 through October 4, 2026, the celebration takes over 12 Franklin Street with a giant Oktoberfest setup featuring communal tables, live oompah music and four Bavarian Festbiers, including Weihenstephaner, Paulaner, HB Traunstein and Schneider Weisse.
The food lineup is equally serious. Think roasted pork shank, Wiesn Hendl rotisserie chicken, Obazda cheese spread and enormous imported pretzels—the kind of menu that makes ordering a salad feel like a personal insult to Bavaria.
There is also a rooftop biergarten, where guests can drink while taking in views of the Manhattan skyline and Williamsburg Bridge. Tickets start at $25 for general seating, while Saturday reserved seating begins at $45. A $15 rooftop biergarten option is also available.
Of course, Zum Schneider isn’t the only game in town. Reichenbach Hall in Midtown runs its Oktoberfest celebration through October with liter steins, schnitzel, sausages and live Bavarian music.
Meanwhile, Watermark at Pier 15 is hosting a massive waterfront Oktoberfest from September 10 through October 31, with German beer, brats, pretzels and views across the East River.
But if your definition of the best Oktoberfest in NYC involves beer, music, food and a skyline selfie, Greenpoint may have the winning scenery.
Just remember: the stein gets heavier after the third refill.
