Jordan Peele’s Oscar-winning horror sensation Get Out is coming to the New York Philharmonic this fall, giving audiences a chance to experience one of modern horror’s most psychologically disturbing films with an orchestra performing its haunting score live.

The special Get Out in Concert runs October 28 through October 31, 2026, at David Geffen Hall at Lincoln Center, with performances scheduled each night at 7:30 p.m.

And yes, Halloween night is included. Because watching Chris Washington discover that something is very, very wrong while a live orchestra intensifies every ominous musical cue sounds like exactly the sort of October 31 plans New Yorkers can get behind.

The film will be projected on the big screen while Michael Abels’ acclaimed score is performed live by the New York Philharmonic, conducted by Anthony Parnther. The performance also features the DC6 Singers Collective.

For anyone who somehow missed the cultural phenomenon, Get Out follows Chris, played by Daniel Kaluuya, during a weekend visit to his girlfriend’s family home that gradually transforms from awkwardly polite to deeply terrifying. Peele’s 2017 film became a landmark of modern horror, mixing social commentary, satire and psychological terror into one exceptionally uncomfortable weekend getaway.

Hearing Abels’ score performed live adds another dimension to the experience. Those eerie strings, unsettling vocal textures and creeping musical cues become impossible to ignore when they’re being produced by an orchestra sitting directly in front of you.

In other words, the Philharmonic is bringing classical music to horror—and horror is bringing the Philharmonic a very different audience.

So grab your tickets, head to David Geffen Hall, and prepare to Get Out.

Just maybe don’t accept the tea.
