New York City is getting ready to get slammed—literally.
Hulk Hogan’s SLAM Sports Bar is coming to Midtown Manhattan, bringing a giant dose of wrestling nostalgia, sports, beer and good old-fashioned Hulkamania directly across from Madison Square Garden. The three-story, roughly 9,000-square-foot venue is expected to open later this year, turning one of NYC’s busiest corners into a shrine to the legendary wrestler.
And the location could hardly be more appropriate. Madison Square Garden was essentially Hulk Hogan’s spiritual home during the height of Hulkamania. Now, fans can watch a game at the Garden, walk across the street and immediately continue the nostalgia with a cold drink.
Because apparently one building dedicated to sports wasn’t enough.
SLAM is being developed by New York nightlife veteran Rich Rosen, who originally pitched the concept directly to Hogan. Following Hogan’s death in 2025, his son Nick Hogan stepped in to help carry the project across the finish line. The opening is now being positioned as a tribute to Hogan’s legacy and his connection to New York City.
Inside, expect plenty of Hulk Hogan memorabilia, classic wrestling footage, massive screens, a rooftop and a design inspired by Madison Square Garden itself. The venue will also feature Hogan’s Real American Beer, along with food and drinks designed to make the sports-bar experience feel considerably more Hulkster than happy hour.
There’s even talk of special events and watch parties for major WWE events, meaning SLAM could quickly become a pilgrimage site for wrestling fans.
So, whether you grew up shouting “Whatcha gonna do?” at your television or simply enjoy a bar with enough personality to body-slam the competition, Hulk Hogan’s SLAM Sports Bar NYC is shaping up to be one of Midtown’s most over-the-top new destinations.
And yes, New York: you can finally say it again—Hulkamania is running wild.
