Mario Carbone is putting his own Italian spin on chili crisp, because apparently your pasta, pizza and eggs weren’t already getting enough attention.

Carbone Fine Food has launched its brand-new Italian Chili Crisp, marking the first time the chef-driven brand has ventured beyond its popular lineup of pasta sauces. And because this is Carbone we’re talking about, the condiment comes with plenty of garlic, peppers, olive oil and attitude.

The new Carbone Chili Crisp comes in two varieties: Calabrian Chili Crisp and Aglio e Peperoncino.

The Calabrian version brings the heat with Calabrian chilies, red bell pepper, onion and garlic, while the Aglio e Peperoncino version takes a milder, more herbaceous route with green bell pepper, garlic, onion and parsley. Both are made with 100% olive oil and packed with the crunchy bits that make chili crisp impossible to stop eating straight from the jar.

And Carbone clearly isn’t suggesting you reserve this stuff for one very specific dish.

The brand recommends spooning it over pizza, pasta, vegetables, avocado toast and even popcorn. Basically, if it sits on a plate, Carbone would like a little chili crisp on it.

The new six-ounce jars launched September 8 at $13.99 each, initially at Whole Foods, with availability also expanding online through Amazon and Carbone Fine Food.

For Carbone fans, it’s another way to bring a little of the restaurant’s over-the-top Italian-American energy home without having to score a coveted reservation.

Because sometimes you don’t need a table at Carbone.

You just need a jar—and absolutely no restraint.
