Steven “Little Steven” Van Zandt is turning the volume up on his New York City real estate listing. The E Street Band guitarist and The Sopranos star has relisted his spectacular Greenwich Village penthouse for $18.995 million, nearly $4 million more than its original asking price earlier this year.

Van Zandt and his wife, actress Maureen Van Zandt, purchased the duplex in 2008 for $6 million, shortly after The Sopranos wrapped. The home first returned to the market in June for $15 million, meaning the latest asking price represents roughly a 27% increase. According to Realtor.com, the price adjustment reflects the current market.

But this isn’t your average Manhattan penthouse.

The approximately 3,504-square-foot Greenwich Village home occupies the top two floors of Novare, a boutique condominium created from an 1860 former Methodist church. The conversion preserved plenty of the building’s historic character, including stained glass and dramatic architectural details.

Inside, the home leans enthusiastically into its rock-star credentials. Soaring 20-foot ceilings, exposed timber beams, industrial-style ductwork and an eclectic interior give the residence plenty of personality. The open great room features a striking chef’s kitchen with black cabinetry and a black-and-white tiled backsplash.

Then there’s the 500-square-foot private terrace, accessible through an accordion-style glass door and equipped with its own outdoor kitchen. In Manhattan, that kind of private outdoor space is practically a celebrity amenity all by itself.

The residence includes three bedrooms and three bathrooms, with a media room that can also function as an additional bedroom.

For a musician who spent decades performing with Bruce Springsteen and became iconic as Silvio Dante, the property feels remarkably on-brand.

Apparently, Little Steven’s next encore comes with an $18.995 million price tag.
