If there is one thing The Feast of San Gennaro proves every year, it is that Little Italy has absolutely no intention of letting you leave hungry.

The annual San Gennaro Feast and Festival takes over Mulberry Street in Manhattan, bringing Italian-American food, live entertainment, religious traditions and enough sausage, zeppole and cannoli to make your waistband file a formal complaint. The 2026 festival runs through September 27, making now the perfect time to plan your Little Italy food crawl.

Here are some of the best places to eat during the San Gennaro Festival in NYC.

🍝 Paesano’s of Mulberry Street

For a classic Little Italy experience, Paesano’s is a longtime favorite for traditional Italian dishes, including pasta, chicken parm and seafood. Grab a table, order something saucy and pretend you aren’t about to eat your weight in festival food.

🍕 Lombardi’s

Technically just outside the festival’s main stretch, Lombardi’s is worth the short walk. The historic pizzeria is credited with being America’s first pizzeria and remains a destination for coal-fired Neapolitan-style pizza.

🥪 Casa D’Angelo

Looking for a serious Italian sandwich? Casa D’Angelo serves classic heroes, chicken cutlets and other Italian-American favorites that make excellent fuel for wandering Mulberry Street.

🍰 Ferrara Bakery & Café

No San Gennaro food crawl is complete without dessert. Ferrara Bakery & Café has been serving Little Italy since 1892 and is the place to go for cannoli, cookies, gelato, pastries and espresso.

🍮 The Festival Itself

Of course, the real stars are the San Gennaro Feast street vendors. Look for sausage and peppers, fried dough, zeppole, arancini, cannoli and other Italian-American festival staples.

The best strategy? Don’t eat one giant meal.

Eat a little. Walk a little. Eat again.

Then repeat until Mulberry Street runs out of food—or your pants do.
