Brooklyn oyster lovers just got seven very good reasons to make dinner plans.

Zig Zag Oyster Bar in Prospect Heights is now open seven days a week, giving New Yorkers more opportunities to settle in for oysters, chilled seafood, cocktails and the kind of leisurely dinner that makes you wonder why you ever agreed to cook at home.

Located at 406 Prospect Place, on the corner of Grand Avenue, Zig Zag opened in summer 2026 from the team behind Brooklyn favorites including Hart’s, Cervo’s, The Fly and Eel Bar. The restaurant has quickly become a neighborhood favorite for its approachable take on the classic oyster bar.

The new daily schedule means Zig Zag is open every night from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.—because apparently Monday deserves oysters, too.

And there is plenty to eat beyond the raw bar. The menu features oysters, clams, mussels, peel-and-eat shrimp and seafood towers, alongside vegetables and heartier dishes. The deluxe seafood tower is particularly tempting, stacking oysters, mussels, pickled clams, lobster salad and more into one very convincing argument for ordering “just one more thing.”

The space itself is equally appealing. Zig Zag features a horseshoe-shaped bar, café tables and a wraparound patio that opens up during warmer months. The restaurant is designed to feel welcoming rather than precious, making it equally suited to a date night, drinks with friends or a spontaneous Tuesday oyster mission.

And that seven-day schedule is the real gift.

Because sometimes you don’t want a complicated restaurant reservation. You want to walk into Brooklyn, sit at a bar, order oysters and a martini, and let the evening figure itself out.

Now you can do that every day of the week.

Monday oysters? Absolutely.

At Zig Zag, apparently, the weekend is whenever you decide it is.
