New Yorkers, start stretching those clicking fingers. Mayor Zohran Mamdani has teamed up with the U.S. Tennis Association to offer 1,000 $100 US Open tickets to city residents, and this may be one New York bargain that disappears faster than a celebrity from the Honey Deuce line.
The discounted 2026 US Open tickets go on sale Wednesday, August 26, at 10 a.m., exclusively for New York City residents. The deal is first-come, first-served, with each resident allowed to purchase up to two tickets. All you need is a qualifying NYC ZIP code—and, presumably, the reflexes of Novak Djokovic.
The tickets cover US Open Main Draw matches from August 30 through September 8, with seats available at both Arthur Ashe Stadium and Louis Armstrong Stadium, along with grounds passes.
And at $100, these tickets could be a serious steal. Resale prices for the tournament have been running well above face value, with some tickets costing several hundred dollars. In other words, Mamdani is attempting to make watching world-class tennis slightly less of a world-class financial commitment.
The announcement is part of Mamdani’s broader push to make major sporting events more affordable for New Yorkers, following similar efforts involving the 2026 World Cup and other local sporting events.
Of course, there is one tiny catch: only 1,000 tickets are available. With millions of New Yorkers and a US Open crowd that already knows how to fight for a reservation, these tickets are likely to vanish at record speed.
