Soho has a new place to drink, dance and pretend that ordering a $45 Martini is a completely normal Tuesday activity.
Bar Leone is now open to the public at 527 Broome Street, bringing two floors of Italian-inspired cocktails, food, art and Italo disco to the neighborhood. The new Soho bar officially opened September 10 and is the latest project from restaurateur Andres Diaz.
The 4,800-square-foot space is essentially two nightlife experiences in one. Upstairs, the vibe is a sophisticated Martini lounge with mid-century-inspired design, while downstairs turns into a red-velvet Italo disco dance floor with DJs spinning classics and nu-disco.
And yes, the drinks are doing the most.
The menu includes a $45 dry or dirty Martini served with Russian Ossetra caviar, along with a $36 Golden Martini, Negroni variations, Spritzes and other cocktails. If caviar isn’t quite in the budget, there are less wallet-threatening options—because even Soho occasionally allows financial restraint.
There’s food, too, including Kumamoto oysters with yuzu granita, fluke coconut ceviche, beef carpaccio, crispy artichokes and a $36 dry-aged short-rib burger with Taleggio cheese.
How to Get Into Bar Leone NYC
The good news: Bar Leone is open to the public and accepts reservations through its website. It’s currently open Wednesday through Saturday starting at 6 p.m., with closing times varying by night.
So your best move is to head to the official Bar Leone website and make a reservation rather than gambling on a walk-in during peak hours.
One important note: the New York Bar Leone is not affiliated with the famous Bar Leone in Hong Kong. The Hong Kong bar has publicly clarified that the businesses are separate.
Bottom line?
Make the reservation, order the Martini and save some energy for the dance floor.
Soho just got a new excuse to stay out late.
