New York has never exactly suffered from a shortage of cocktail bars, but Bar CC NYC is making a case for why West Chelsea still has room for another seriously polished night out.
Located at 85 10th Avenue, Bar CC is an intimate cocktail and wine bar connected to the team behind Crane Club. The concept leans heavily into cocktails, wine and seasonal small plates, with an atmosphere that is decidedly more “dress up and stay awhile” than “grab a drink and head home.” Bar CC

Bar CC reportedly features a cellar of more than 1,000 bottles, giving oenophiles plenty to investigate. The beverage program is led by acclaimed bartender Harrison Ginsberg, whose résumé includes some of New York’s most ambitious cocktail destinations.
Translation: ordering a vodka soda here might technically be possible, but the room is practically begging you to make a more interesting decision.
The food is designed to keep the drinks company rather than steal the entire show. Expect seasonal small plates, caviar and live-fire cooking, with dishes coming from the team associated with Michelin-starred chef Melissa Rodriguez.
The design is equally intentional. Bar CC is divided into multiple spaces, with velvet walls, walnut details, custom carpeting and dramatic red accents creating a moody, luxurious setting. It is the sort of room where even your phone seems slightly underdressed.
Bar CC is also taking a somewhat old-school approach to getting through the door. While a limited number of tables are available for reservations, many spots are held for walk-ins, making it possible to attempt a spontaneous night out—assuming your definition of spontaneous includes dressing up.
The bar currently operates Tuesday through Saturday, from 6 p.m. until 1 a.m.
