New York City has cooking classes. It has private dining rooms. It has pasta parties. But EVÈNTO is putting all three under one very Italian roof.
The Italian hospitality and culinary experiences brand has opened its first Manhattan flagship at 75 Murray Street in Tribeca, taking over the historic 1857 Bogardus Mansion for a multi-level destination dedicated to food, wine, music and, most importantly, having a very good time.
Founded by Italian-born chef Andrea Belfiore and Sam Akiba, EVÈNTO started with intimate dinner parties in apartments and has grown into a full-blown culinary experience brand. Now, it finally has a permanent NYC home.
And this is not your typical cooking school.
The ground floor hosts hands-on Italian cooking experiences, including pizza and pasta parties, gnocchi-making and tortelli workshops. There are also customized events for private celebrations, corporate groups and anyone who thinks a team-building exercise sounds significantly better when carbohydrates are involved.
Upstairs is Carla Salotto, an intimate private dining space designed for groups of approximately 20 to 40 guests. The space combines residential touches with Italian design and preserved details from the historic mansion, including original architectural elements.
But EVÈNTO’s biggest addition is still to come.
The basement will eventually become Anna, Belfiore’s first restaurant, named for his grandmother. Expected in 2027, the restaurant will focus on the food of Le Marche and Sicily, with handmade regional pastas, seafood, meats and Italian ingredients.
