The West Village is getting another tiny place where you can drink wine, eat something delicious and suddenly realize you’ve been sitting there for three hours.
Bar à Part is the new 15-seat wine bar and café coming to 72 Bedford Street, right next door to Southern French restaurant Zimmi’s. The new project comes from Zimmi’s owners Jenni Guizio and chef Maxime Pradié, giving the already-buzzy West Village address a tiny sibling.
And tiny is very much the point.
Bar à Part is designed as an intimate neighborhood spot with an extensive wine program, small plates, pastries and desserts, creating a space that can work for everything from an afternoon coffee to an evening glass of Burgundy.
One of the biggest reasons food obsessives are watching the opening is pastry chef Clodagh Manning. The Ireland-born chef, who previously worked at London’s now-closed Lyle’s, will get her own stage at Bar à Part, with both sweet and savory pastries planned for the menu.
Chef Pradié is also expected to bring his focus on homemade charcuterie to the new concept, adding a decidedly French touch to the wine-bar lineup.
The original plan called for Bar à Part to begin as an evening-only wine bar before potentially expanding into daytime service with coffee and pastries. More recent NYC restaurant previews have positioned the opening for mid-September 2026, making this one of the West Village’s newest spots to watch.
