A Pasta Bar Is Bringing Its SoHo Pasta Obsession to South Beach

And this isn't your average bowl-of-spaghetti situation.

South Beach has no shortage of restaurants where you can eat pasta while wearing sunglasses at night. Now, it’s getting one with some serious New York pedigree.

A Pasta Bar, the popular Italian restaurant that made its name in Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood, has opened its first location outside New York in Miami Beach’s Sunset Harbour. The new restaurant is located at 1784 West Avenue, bringing handmade pasta, an open kitchen and plenty of Italian attitude to the neighborhood.

And this isn’t your average bowl-of-spaghetti situation.

The 4,700-square-foot A Pasta Bar Miami Beach is built around a dramatic central kitchen, with a 17-seat chef’s counter putting diners practically inside the action. The restaurant also features indoor and outdoor seating, a bar and a private dining room.

The concept comes from the original A Pasta Bar in SoHo, which opened in 2017 and developed a following for fresh, handmade pasta and family-inspired Italian recipes. The Miami Beach menu expands beyond noodles with crudo, seasonal seafood and wood-grilled meats, while keeping pasta firmly in the starring role.

Among the dishes already getting attention are spaghetti alle vongole, tagliatelle al ragù Bolognese and a five-course pasta tasting experience. There’s also an Italian wine list, cocktails and a Milanese-style aperitivo hour—because pasta without a drink is basically just carb homework.

The restaurant’s arrival also lands at an interesting moment for Sunset Harbour, which has become one of Miami Beach’s buzziest dining destinations.

So, while South Beach already has plenty of Italian restaurants, A Pasta Bar Miami Beach is bringing something slightly different: New York energy, Italian technique and a kitchen designed to make the pasta itself part of the show.

Consider your carb calendar officially booked.
