The Upper East Side is about to get a little more indulgent—and considerably more buttery.
Last Crumb, the luxury cookie brand that has built a cult following around oversized, handcrafted cookies, is opening a new shop on the Upper East Side, bringing its famously extravagant treats to one of Manhattan’s most dessert-ready neighborhoods.
The move gives Upper East Siders another place to indulge in Last Crumb’s signature cookies, which can cost nearly $10 each. Because apparently, the humble chocolate chip cookie needed a luxury makeover.
Last Crumb describes itself as the “Rolex of Cookies,” and the branding is anything but subtle. Its cookies are handcrafted over a three-day process using premium ingredients, including European high-fat butter that is caramelized before being incorporated into the dough. The dough then rests before the cookies are baked, finished and packaged individually.
The result is a cookie designed to be less “grab-and-go snack” and more “tiny edible event.”
Among the brand’s signature offerings is All In On The Chip, featuring multiple varieties of French chocolate, buttery caramelized dough and Maldon sea salt. Last Crumb also rotates limited-edition flavors and collections throughout the year, giving regulars an excuse to keep checking back—and spending money.
The Upper East Side location will become the brand’s second permanent brick-and-mortar shop, following its Williamsburg location at 144 N. 8th Street. That Brooklyn shop also serves coffee, cold brew and playful “shaken milk” drinks alongside its warm cookies.
For the Upper East Side, this feels like a particularly fitting arrival. The neighborhood already has plenty of luxury shopping, fancy hotels and restaurants where the check arrives wearing its own invisible tuxedo.
Now it has the cookie to match.
Last Crumb is coming to the UES—and your afternoon snack just got promoted to a status symbol.
