Winter in New York City just got a whole lot butter—and lobster. Red Hook Lobster Pound is bringing its viral lobster cones and oversized lobster rolls to Bryant Park Winter Village for the 2026–2027 season, giving hungry New Yorkers another reason to brave the cold in Midtown.
Forget the usual winter-market routine of sipping hot chocolate and browsing holiday ornaments. This year, you can warm up your appetite with lobster piled high, toasted New England buns, and a fried lobster roll that looks ready to steal the entire food scene.
According to the Brooklyn-born seafood favorite, its Bryant Park booth opens October 28, 2026, and runs through January 3, 2027.
Red Hook Lobster Pound’s Fried Lobster Roll Is the Star
The standout on the menu is the fried lobster roll, made with fresh, locally sourced lobster that is fried and tossed in caramel sauce with Kewpie mayonnaise. It’s a decadent twist on the classic lobster roll—and definitely not a shy little seafood snack.
Red Hook Lobster Pound serves its rolls on authentic New England top-split buns that are buttered and toasted. Customers can choose from five lobster-roll varieties, with four-ounce and six-ounce portions available.
Still hungry? The restaurant invites customers to “lobstersize” their order by adding two, three, or four ounces of lobster to any roll for an additional charge. Fries, salad, or potato salad round out the meal.
And yes, those viral lobster cones are also part of the attraction, making the booth a must-visit for seafood fans who prefer their winter-market food with a little extra drama.
Bryant Park Winter Village Gets a Seafood Upgrade
Red Hook Lobster Pound’s seasonal appearance adds a taste of coastal New England to one of Manhattan’s most popular winter destinations. The brand also operates at its Red Hook, Brooklyn location, Rockaway Beach in Queens, and Smorgasburg.
Bryant Park Winter Village is already a destination for holiday shopping, skating, and festive food. Now, lobster lovers have another reason to stop by.
Red Hook Lobster Pound at Bryant Park Winter Village runs October 28 through January 3, with weekday hours from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and weekend hours from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., plus extended holiday hours.
Consider this your permission to put the lobster roll before the holiday shopping. Some winter traditions are simply too delicious to resist.
