New York has no shortage of Italian restaurants, but CASINO NYC is playing a different game. Tucked away at 171 East Broadway on the Lower East Side, this stylish Italian restaurant brings candlelit glamour, retro interiors, and a downtown crowd that looks like it might have somewhere interesting to be after dinner.
And no, despite the name, you won’t find roulette wheels or slot machines. The only gamble here is deciding whether to order another cocktail or save room for dessert.
CASINO NYC Serves Italian Food With Downtown Attitude
CASINO has made a name for itself with an atmosphere that feels equal parts Italian Riviera fantasy and downtown Manhattan dinner party. Think dramatic red banquettes, white tablecloths, flattering low lighting, and a dining room where the people-watching can be almost as entertaining as the menu.
The restaurant’s Italian-inspired menu features seafood, pasta, and classic comfort dishes, with options including smoked lamb pappardelle, wood-fired prawns, and steak frites among the dishes diners have highlighted. The house focaccia and cocktails are also worth a look. <Cite refs={[“turn967116search3″,”turn967116search10″,”turn967116search4”]}/>
In other words, this isn’t the place to wolf down a bowl of pasta before catching the subway. CASINO is built for lingering, ordering another round, and pretending you didn’t notice that the neighboring table just arrived.
Cocktails, Candlelight, and Lower East Side Energy
The drinks are part of the appeal, with classic cocktails and inventive riffs helping set the tone for date nights, group dinners, and evenings that may stretch longer than planned.
The restaurant has also attracted attention for its buzzy atmosphere, making it a popular name among diners seeking a scene alongside their meal. If your ideal dinner involves a little glamour and a soundtrack louder than your last family gathering, CASINO may be your kind of table. <Cite refs={[“turn967116search10″,”turn967116search11”]}/>
