New Jersey, your pasta prayers have been answered. Serafina, the popular New York City Italian restaurant known for its pizza, pasta, and celebrity-friendly dining rooms, is officially opening its first New Jersey location in Tenafly, Bergen County. And after years of waiting, the Garden State is finally getting its own taste of the Manhattan favorite.

The restaurant is set to open at 25 Highwood Avenue in downtown Tenafly on October 14, 2026, bringing a familiar dose of Italian glamour to Bergen County.

Serafina Tenafly Brings NYC Italian Dining to Bergen County

Founded in New York City in 1995, Serafina has grown into a recognizable name for Italian dining, pairing classic recipes with a lively, contemporary atmosphere. Its expansion into Tenafly marks the brand’s first official move across the Hudson into New Jersey.

For locals, that means less time battling traffic into Manhattan and more time debating whether the table really needs another pizza.

The new restaurant features a redesigned interior with velvet seating, warm lighting, and a full bar, setting the stage for date nights, family dinners, and those supposedly quick meals that somehow stretch into three-hour affairs.

Pizza, Pasta, and Plenty of Italian Comfort

While the Tenafly location brings its own new address, diners can expect the familiar Serafina formula: Italian favorites, creative pizzas, and pastas designed to make choosing just one dish unnecessarily difficult.

The brand is known for dishes including cacio e pepe, Bolognese, chicken Milanese, and its signature pizzas. The Tenafly menu also features tempting options such as spicy penne alla vodka, lobster ravioli, and farfalle al limoncello.

In other words, arrive hungry and don’t pretend you’re only ordering a salad.

Where to Find Serafina in New Jersey

Serafina Tenafly is located at 25 Highwood Avenue, Tenafly, NJ 07670, in downtown Bergen County. The restaurant’s first New Jersey opening gives local diners a new destination for Italian food without requiring a trip into Manhattan.
