New York may have its smash burgers, but Tempe is bringing the brisket. And frankly, we're not complaining.

Burger lovers, consider this your Sunday assignment. Bad Jimmy’s is serving up a seriously indulgent smoked brisket burger, and judging by the photos, this is not the kind of sandwich you casually eat between errands.

Available exclusively at the restaurant’s Tempe location in Arizona, the Sunday special features an eight-ounce smoked brisket patty made with Arizona beef from K4 Ranch, stacked inside a house-made sesame milk bun with American cheese, onions and the restaurant’s signature “Not So Secret Sauce.”

A pickle spear on the side completes the picture. Because apparently, subtlety is not on the menu.

Eight Ounces of Smoked Brisket Goodness

The star of the show is undoubtedly the brisket patty. Rather than the usual ground-beef burger, Bad Jimmy’s is bringing smoked brisket into the equation, promising a richer, smokier flavor and a seriously substantial bite.

The patty is topped with melted American cheese, while the house-made sesame milk bun provides a soft, slightly sweet contrast. Add the onions and signature sauce, and you’ve got a burger that looks ready to compete with some of Arizona’s biggest burger contenders.

And judging by the reaction on Instagram, customers are already enthusiastic. One diner described it as perfectly tender, smoky and peppery, suggesting this Sunday special could become a regular weekend ritual.

The Catch? Tempe Only.

There’s one important detail for anyone outside Arizona: this burger is currently exclusive to Bad Jimmy’s Tempe location.

The special starts at 11 a.m. on Sundays and is available only until it sells out. So arriving late and expecting a leisurely burger decision might not be the best strategy.

A Sunday Burger Worth the Trip?

Between the smoked brisket, eight-ounce patty and house-made sesame milk bun, Bad Jimmy’s is making a convincing case for turning Sunday lunch into a full-blown event.

New York may have its smash burgers, but Tempe is bringing the brisket. And frankly, we’re not complaining.
