If you thought the 2026 US Open was only about blistering serves, five-set thrillers and celebrities in the stands, think again. This year’s tournament has turned the US Open food scene into its own Grand Slam.
For hungry tennis fans, the biggest question may not be who wins the title—but what to order before the next match.
Leading the must-try list is Salt Hank’s French Dip, making its US Open debut. The hefty sandwich features prime rib, caramelized onions, provolone and horseradish aioli, served with jus for dunking. It’s messy, indulgent and exactly the kind of sandwich you want when watching tennis for several hours.
Then there are the now-famous COQODAQ Golden Nuggets, Simon Kim’s crispy chicken nuggets served with the option of caviar. Because apparently regular chicken nuggets were not luxurious enough for Arthur Ashe Stadium. Kim is also introducing KIMBOP, featuring Korean-style gimbap packed with ingredients including bulgogi, making it one of the more portable—and less napkin-dependent—options at the Open.
For something with a little international flair, Miznon brings Mediterranean street food to the tournament, including rib-eye roast beef pitas, chicken schnitzel pitas, falafel and its signature green beans. Meanwhile, pastaRAMEN returns with its Italian-Japanese mashups, including chicken teriyaki ramen and spicy tuna crispy rice.
Seafood fans should make a beeline for Red Hook Lobster Pound, while New York traditionalists can grab a pastrami sandwich or cookie from Carnegie Deli. And for dessert, Van Leeuwen Ice Cream offers scoops, shakes and its signature US Open flavor.
Of course, no best food at the US Open 2026 list is complete without the Honey Deuce. The Grey Goose cocktail has practically become the tournament’s unofficial mascot.
In other words, bring your appetite. The tennis may be the main event, but the food lineup is playing for the trophy, too.
